Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to join our growing team at the Worcester Maintenance Operations. This crucial role is responsible for performing comprehensive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications on JetBlue aircraft, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities
- Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications on various aircraft systems and components.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, avionics, and structural issues using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately and thoroughly in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
- Ensure all work is performed to the highest safety and quality standards, adhering to company policies and industry best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with flight crews, ground staff, and other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient operations.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with aircraft technology and regulatory changes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Skills
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license or equivalent international certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance on commercial aircraft types.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Knowledge of aviation safety regulations and quality assurance procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with specific JetBlue fleet types (e.g., Airbus A320 family, Embraer 190).
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Associate's degree or higher in Aviation Maintenance Technology or a related field.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced airline maintenance environment.
