Job Description
Join our dedicated team at Chesapeake Bay Artisan Oils as an Olive Oil Press Cleanup Laborer. This entry-level position is crucial for maintaining the hygiene and operational efficiency of our olive oil production facility. You will be responsible for the thorough cleaning of machinery, floors, and work surfaces, ensuring a pristine environment for food production. The role involves working in a sometimes slippery environment due to the nature of oil processing, requiring careful attention to safety protocols. Full training will be provided to ensure you are proficient and safe in all tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Thorough cleaning and sanitization of olive oil presses, tanks, and other production equipment.
- Maintaining cleanliness of production floors, walls, and work areas, including mopping and scrubbing.
- Operating basic cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP, GMP).
- Disposing of waste and byproduct materials properly.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Working collaboratively with the production team to minimize downtime during cleaning cycles.
- Ensuring a safe working environment by addressing slippery surfaces promptly.

- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
