Job Description
We are seeking reliable and physically fit individuals to join our team as a Delivery Driver Offsider for casual day shifts in Geelong. This role is crucial to our delivery operations, supporting our drivers and ensuring efficient, safe, and timely delivery of goods. You will be an integral part of our logistics team, engaging in manual handling, loading, and unloading of freight. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the delivery driver with loading and unloading goods, adhering to safety protocols.
- Verify consignment accuracy against delivery manifests.
- Navigate routes and assist with directions, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions.
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle workspace.
- Perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently, including lifting and carrying items.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatch, and customers.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks (lifting up to 25kg repeatedly).
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in checking manifests.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
- Proactive and adaptable to changing delivery schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a logistics, warehousing, or delivery support role.
- Basic knowledge of local Geelong and surrounding areas.
- First Aid certification.
- Forklift license (though not essential for this specific role, it's a bonus for future opportunities).
