Job Description
Are you passionate about information, organization, and supporting a vibrant academic community? Federation University Australia is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Library Technician Intern for an Information Management Placement. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to gain practical experience in library and information services. You will work alongside experienced library professionals, contributing to the efficient operation of our library systems and services, and learning the fundamentals of modern information management. Full training and mentorship will be provided, ensuring you build a strong foundation in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the processing and cataloging of new library materials.
- Support the organization and maintenance of physical and digital collections.
- Learn to use library management systems for data entry and retrieval.
- Provide basic assistance to library patrons under supervision.
- Participate in special projects related to information management and library services.
- Assist with shelving, circulation, and general library upkeep.
- Contribute to creating a welcoming and organized library environment.
Required Skills
