Kmart Australia is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as an Entry-Level Retail Warehouse Hand in Bendigo. You will be a vital part of our operations, ensuring products are efficiently managed from delivery to the sales floor, contributing to a smooth shopping experience for our customers, all while enjoying fantastic staff discounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and accurately store incoming merchandise and deliveries.
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse area.
- Efficiently pick and pack products for replenishment to the sales floor.
- Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and maintaining stock accuracy.
- Learn to safely operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, after receiving training.
- Adhere strictly to all workplace health and safety procedures and guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with the retail team to support store operations as needed.
- Assist with general housekeeping duties within the warehouse and back-of-house areas.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to attendance.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new processes and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading labels and counting stock.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a High School Certificate or equivalent.
- Previous experience in roles requiring physical labour or manual handling.
- A valid Australian Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.
- Experience with inventory systems or stock management (not required, but a bonus).
