Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Public Records Assistant to join our Department of Archives in the Primorsky District. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the preservation and accessibility of vital public information for the Odessa region. The successful candidate will work daytime hours, Monday through Friday, and will benefit from a comprehensive public sector pension plan, ensuring long-term security. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing, filing, and cataloging public records, both physical and digital.
- Retrieve and provide records to authorized personnel and the public in accordance with established procedures and regulations.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all archived documents.
- Perform accurate data entry and update record management systems.
- Assist with the digitization of historical and current records.
- Respond to public inquiries regarding access to information.
- Support general administrative tasks within the department.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office Suite).
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in Ukrainian.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in an administrative or office support role.
- Familiarity with record-keeping principles or archival practices.
- Basic knowledge of Ukrainian governmental structure.
- Proficiency in English is considered a plus.
