Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to kickstart your career in the vibrant hospitality industry? Moxie’s Grill & Bar in Plateau Mont-Royal is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Bar and Waiting Staff to join our dynamic team. No prior experience is required – we believe in potential and provide comprehensive training to ensure your success. This role offers flexible shifts to fit your lifestyle and the added benefit of weekly tip payouts. Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, managing reservations as needed.
- Present menus, answer questions about food and beverages, and make recommendations.
- Take accurate food and drink orders, inputting them into the POS system efficiently.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following established recipes and standards (training provided).
- Monitor guest satisfaction, anticipate needs, and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, bar, and service stations.
- Process payments accurately and handle cash and card transactions.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members.
- Adhere to all food safety and liquor service regulations.
Required Skills

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Basic numeracy skills for handling payments.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (any industry).
- Knowledge of French and English (bilingualism is an asset in Montreal).
- Smart Serve or equivalent responsible alcohol service certification (can be obtained upon hiring).
