Job Description
Are you ready for a true Australian adventure? Outback Pastures Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our client’s remote cattle stations as an Offsider. This is a unique opportunity to experience the iconic Australian outback, learn new skills, and become an integral part of a working cattle station. No prior experience is necessary – full training will be provided on the job. This role is perfect for those seeking an active, hands-on role away from city life, with the added benefit of all meals and accommodation being provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily cattle management, including mustering, yard work, and feeding.
- Support general station operations such as fencing, water runs, and infrastructure maintenance.
- Operate and maintain station vehicles and machinery under supervision.
- Participate in camp duties and contribute to a positive team living environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and instructions diligently.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as required to support the station team.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and a 'can-do' attitude
- Physical fitness and ability to work in demanding outdoor conditions
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small team
- Reliability and good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Manual driver's license (essential for many roles on stations)
