Job Description

This is an incredible entry-level opportunity for those with no prior experience in a hospital setting. As an Orderly, you will play a crucial part in supporting patient comfort, safety, and the efficient operation of our hospital departments, contributing directly to the high standard of care our patients receive.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients via beds, trolleys, and wheelchairs between wards, departments (e.g., imaging, theatre), and to external transport.
- Assist nursing staff with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility, ensuring patient dignity and comfort.
- Handle and transport medical equipment, supplies, and specimens as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient transport equipment and designated areas.
- Provide basic assistance to patients, such as orienting them to their surroundings or offering emotional support.
- Respond promptly to requests from nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and infection control guidelines.
- Ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff at all times.
