Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and motivated Plasterers Labourer to join our growing team in Colchester. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals keen to start a career in construction. You will play a crucial supporting role, assisting experienced plasterers on various projects, ensuring sites are well-prepared, clean, and safe. Full training will be provided to help you develop essential skills and knowledge within the plastering trade, laying a solid foundation for your career in construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled plasterers with various tasks, including mixing plaster, rendering materials, and preparing surfaces.
- Prepare work areas by cleaning surfaces, covering floors, protecting fixtures, and setting up equipment.
- Load and unload materials and equipment, ensuring safe handling, transportation, and organized storage on site.
- Maintain a clean and tidy worksite throughout the day, including sweeping, tidying tools, and proper waste removal.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding and access equipment under direct supervision, adhering to safety protocols.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, site rules, and company policies diligently to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support general site operations as directed by the site supervisor or lead plasterer, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive attitude.

- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Physical fitness and the capability to lift and carry construction materials.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential for site operations.

Preferred Qualifications
- Valid CSCS card (Green Labourer card) – assistance will be provided to obtain if not currently held.
- Previous experience working in a construction environment, even if informal or voluntary.
- Driving license and access to reliable transport for commuting to various project sites within the region.
