Job Description
Are you passionate about coffee and eager to learn the art of barista craftsmanship? Starbucks in Pensacola, FL is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Trainee Barista / Coffee Shop Assistant. This is an entry-level position with full training provided – absolutely no prior experience is required! If you’re a quick learner, customer-focused, and ready to work daytime hours in a dynamic and friendly environment, we want to meet you. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service, preparing high-quality beverages, and contributing to a positive atmosphere for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare a variety of coffee, tea, and other beverages according to Starbucks recipes and quality standards.
- Operate coffee equipment and maintain its cleanliness.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, seating areas, and restrooms.
- Stock and replenish inventory, ensuring proper rotation of products.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed.
- Resolve customer complaints and concerns with patience and a positive attitude.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Required Skills
- No prior barista or coffee shop experience required – full training provided!
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and a passion for customer service.
- Ability to work daytime shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A genuine interest in coffee and the desire to create exceptional experiences for customers.
- Previous experience in a customer service role (any industry).
