Job Description
Join Australia Post’s essential Night Shift Logistics team in Joondalup. This part-time role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of mail and parcels throughout our network. You will be responsible for a variety of warehouse tasks, working overnight to meet critical delivery deadlines. We welcome individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced logistics operation. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload parcels, packages, and freight from various vehicles and containers.
- Sort items accurately to designated areas based on postal codes and routing information.
- Scan incoming and outgoing items using handheld scanning devices to ensure accurate tracking.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks (training provided) safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work area.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily operational targets and deadlines.
- Perform general warehouse duties as required to support logistics operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to commit to consistent night shift hours.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift up to 20kg repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sorting and scanning.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Basic understanding of workplace health and safety principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar physical role.
- Current forklift license (LF/LO) or experience operating similar material handling equipment.
- Valid Australian Driver's License.
- Experience with inventory management systems or scanning technology.
