Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Casual Warehouse Pickers to join our day roster team at our Gosford distribution centre. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking customer orders, ensuring products are ready for dispatch. This is a hands-on position requiring physical fitness, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Successful candidates will be available for various shifts on our day roster, contributing to our team’s success in meeting daily operational targets. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders from designated locations within the warehouse.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Perform quality checks on picked items to ensure accuracy and prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as required.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand picking slips and order details.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good physical fitness and ability to lift up to 20kg regularly.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar production environment (desirable but not essential).
- Current forklift license (LF/LO) highly regarded.
- Experience using RF scanners.
