Job Description
Join Sysco Memphis as a Salad Mixing & Bagging Operative. This critical on-site role involves working in a chilled environment to prepare, mix, and bag fresh salads according to our strict quality and food safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately measure and mix salad ingredients according to production specifications and recipes.
- Operate bagging and sealing machinery efficiently for various salad products.
- Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation, reporting any deviations or issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, strictly adhering to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic troubleshooting to ensure smooth operation.
- Work consistently and efficiently within a chilled production environment (typically 35-40°F/1-4°C).
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to work consistently in a chilled environment for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in measuring and mixing ingredients.
- Basic understanding of food safety principles and hygiene (full training provided).
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical stamina for standing, lifting (up to 25 lbs/11 kg), bending, and performing repetitive tasks.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for production schedule adherence.
