Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and physically capable Jetty Maintenance Hand to join our team in Morwell. This full-time outdoor position is crucial for ensuring the structural integrity and safety of various jetties and marine facilities within the Latrobe Valley region. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with inspections, repairs, and general upkeep of these structures. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine visual inspections of jetty structures, including timber, steel, and concrete components, to identify wear, damage, or defects.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as replacing timber planks, tightening fasteners, painting, rust removal, and general cleaning.
- Assist in the safe operation of various hand tools and power tools required for maintenance activities.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to complete maintenance projects efficiently and to a high standard.
- Report any significant structural damage, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions promptly to the team leader.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.

- Basic understanding and practical ability to use common hand tools.

Preferred Qualifications
- Current Australian White Card (Construction Induction Card).
- Valid Australian Driver's License.
- Current First Aid certification.
- Previous experience in outdoor labour, general maintenance, or a similar hands-on role.
- Basic carpentry, welding, or general trade skills.
