Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable individual to join our team as a Full-Time Government Building Janitor. This position is crucial for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of various government facilities within Hesperia, California. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting a safe and healthy environment for public services and city operations. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing floors.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and replenishing supplies.
- Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and office equipment.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, hallways, and stairwells.
- Monitor and report any maintenance needs or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Follow established safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
- Adhere to security protocols for government buildings, including securing areas after cleaning.
- Assist with minor repairs or setups for events as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 25 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial services, particularly in a commercial or institutional setting.
