Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Clerk to join our team in Lexington. This role is pivotal in supporting our bail bond operations, involving a variety of administrative tasks, client interaction, and adherence to strict legal protocols. Due to the nature of our business, this position will involve shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Full training on specific bail bond procedures will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming calls and walk-in inquiries from clients and legal professionals.
- Process bail bond applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all paperwork.
- Maintain organized physical and digital client files, adhering to data privacy regulations.
- Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar.
- Collect and process payments, providing accurate receipts.
- Liaise with court officials, law enforcement agencies, and attorneys.
- Prepare and distribute reports and correspondence as needed.
- Assist with general office duties, including filing, scanning, and data entry.
- Ensure the office environment is welcoming and professional.
- Adhere to all company policies and legal requirements related to bail bonds.
Required Skills
- Proven administrative or clerical experience (1 year minimum preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Discretion and integrity when handling confidential information.
- Comfortable working various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a legal, public safety, or high-security environment.
- Knowledge of local court procedures or legal terminology.
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is a plus.
