Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Rural Store Assistant to join our team in Wagga Wagga. This ongoing full-time position is ideal for someone passionate about agriculture and rural life, eager to learn, and committed to providing excellent service to our valued farming customers. While previous experience in a rural retail setting is a bonus, it is not essential; we provide comprehensive training and support to help you succeed in this vital role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with product inquiries, sales, and loading of goods
- Maintain an organised and well-stocked store, including merchandising and stock rotation
- Process sales transactions accurately and handle cash/EFTPOS payments
- Receive and dispatch incoming and outgoing deliveries, including operating forklifts (training provided if needed)
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment for staff and customers
- Assist with inventory management and stocktake procedures
- Learn about our diverse range of farming supplies and services to provide informed advice

- Basic numeracy and literacy skills

- Physical fitness to handle various products and perform manual tasks

- Knowledge of agricultural products or a farming background
- Current forklift license (or willingness to obtain one with company support)
- Manual driver's license
