Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our vibrant team in Fremantle, WA, for an immediate start. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods within our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of logistics, from managing transportation schedules to liaising with suppliers and customers, all while maintaining high standards of accuracy and service. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor domestic and international freight movements.
- Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including invoices, customs declarations, and manifests.
- Track and trace shipments, providing updates to stakeholders as required.
- Manage inventory levels and warehouse space utilization.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities and update relevant systems.
- Assist in optimizing logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transport and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a logistics, supply chain, or administrative role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Experience with logistics software or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Knowledge of Australian domestic freight regulations.
- Forklift license.
