Job Description
We are seeking a warm, reliable, and proactive Nanny / Mother’s Helper to join our network of caring professionals. This part-time, flexible role offers the opportunity to provide essential support to families within the Fremantle community. You will work closely with parents to assist with childcare, light household duties, and general family support, enabling parents to manage their busy schedules effectively. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about nurturing children and contributing positively to a family’s daily life, offering flexibility to suit your availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities and play.
- Assist with meal preparation for children and light tidying after meals.
- Support parents with daily routines, including naptime and bedtime.
- Help with light household tasks such as children's laundry, tidying common areas, and organizing children's spaces.
- Provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children.
- Communicate regularly and openly with parents regarding children's well-being and daily activities.
- Run occasional errands related to children or household needs.
Required Skills
- Genuine love for children and a nurturing personality.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to different family dynamics and routines.
- Proactive and eager to assist where needed.
- Basic understanding of child safety and development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a childcare role, formal or informal.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
- References from previous childcare or family support roles.
