Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Drafter with expertise in HVAC and Plumbing systems to join our dynamic engineering team in Geraldton. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and layouts for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and project managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive HVAC and plumbing system drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Develop detailed plans, sections, elevations, and schematics for various mechanical services.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to translate design concepts into technical drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant Australian Standards, building codes, and project specifications.
- Revise and update drawings based on design changes, client feedback, and site conditions.
- Maintain organized documentation of all project drawings and related data.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical input as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Drafter, specifically with HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards and NCC requirements related to mechanical services.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- Experience with BIM software and processes.
- Prior experience working on commercial or industrial projects in Western Australia.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency principles in building services design.
