Job Description
Join Foodflow Logistics UK as a Catering Van Loader in Truro! This essential role involves the efficient and careful loading of catering vans with warmers, coolers, and other catering equipment and food items. You will be responsible for ensuring all items are correctly sorted, packed, and secured for transport, adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards. This is a physically demanding role requiring the ability to perform heavy lifting and work in a fast-paced environment. Full training will be provided to successful candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload catering vans with food warmers, coolers, and various catering supplies.
- Organize and sort items accurately according to delivery schedules and routes.
- Ensure all loaded items are securely stored and protected to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to strict food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations at all times.
- Perform pre-departure checks on loaded vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and organized loading dock and warehouse area.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding loading progress and issues.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25kg) repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of health and safety principles.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or catering environment (not required, but beneficial).
- Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP or similar).
- Full UK driving license (desirable, but not essential for this role).
