Job Description
Are you eager to begin a career in luxury hospitality? Sofitel Brisbane Central is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Concierge Offsider to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals with no prior experience who are keen to learn the intricate standards of a high-end hotel concierge service. You will work closely with our experienced concierge team, gaining hands-on experience in guest services, luggage handling, local area knowledge, and maintaining our esteemed hotel’s impeccable first impression. Full training will be provided to ensure your success and development within our world-renowned brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist guests with luggage handling, storage, and retrieval upon arrival and departure.
- Support the Concierge team in providing information about local attractions, dining, and transport options.
- Run errands and assist with various guest requests efficiently and courteously.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the hotel lobby and front entrance area.
- Learn and adhere to all Sofitel brand standards for guest service and operational procedures.
- Communicate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Proactively offer assistance and anticipate guest needs with a positive and helpful attitude.
Required Skills
- No prior experience required – full training will be provided.
- Genuine passion for customer service and a desire to work in luxury hospitality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong work ethic and a proactive approach to learning.
- Professional presentation and a friendly demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Brisbane city and its attractions.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., retail, food service) is a bonus but not essential.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
