Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable General Factory Hands to join our dynamic team at Nyrstar Port Pirie. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable industrial experience, with full training provided. We welcome both local residents and backpackers who are legally permitted to work in Australia and are keen to contribute to a productive environment. As a Factory Hand, you will perform a variety of tasks crucial to our daily operations, ensuring a safe and efficient workplace. No prior experience is necessary; we value a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with general production tasks and operations as directed.
  • Load and unload materials, supplies, and finished products.
  • Operate basic machinery and equipment after receiving appropriate training.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Report any issues or hazards to supervisors promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production targets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support factory operations.
