Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically fit Site Hand to join our dynamic civil construction team in Townsville. This role is crucial for supporting our heavy machinery operators and ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient site operations. You will play a vital part in various civil projects, from road construction to infrastructure development, working closely with experienced professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Assist heavy machinery operators with safe and efficient movement, including spotting and guiding.
- Perform general labouring duties on site, such as shovelling, raking, and compaction.
- Maintain a clean and organised worksite, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Support the setup and dismantle of site equipment and temporary structures.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and site meetings.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
- Operate small hand tools and power tools as required, following safety guidelines.
- Report any hazards, incidents, or equipment malfunctions to site supervision promptly.
Required Skills
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to WHS regulations.

- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour.

Preferred Qualifications
- Construction Induction White Card (essential upon commencement).
- Previous experience in a civil construction or similar outdoor labour role.
- First Aid certification.
- HR or higher class driver's license.
