Job Description
Are you looking for an immediate start in a busy kitchen environment? The Mount Gambier Hotel is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Kitchen Hands to join our culinary team. No previous experience? No problem! We believe in training the right people and are looking for individuals who are keen to learn, possess a strong work ethic, and are ready to jump straight into action. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry with one of Australia’s leading hotel groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and utensils.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Receive and store deliveries, checking for quality and accuracy.
- Assist with waste management and recycling within the kitchen.
