Job Description
As a Swimming Pool Technician – Maintenance & Repair, you will be responsible for the comprehensive care and upkeep of residential and commercial swimming pools. This critical role involves performing routine cleaning, chemical balancing, equipment inspection, and troubleshooting, as well as executing repairs on various pool systems. You will play a vital role in ensuring our clients’ pools are safe, clean, and fully operational, providing expert service with a friendly and professional demeanor. This is an on-site, full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine pool cleaning, including skimming, brushing, and vacuuming.
- Test and balance pool water chemistry, adding necessary chemicals accurately.
- Inspect and maintain pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and automation systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
- Clean and repair pool filters, ensuring optimal filtration.
- Perform minor plumbing repairs related to pool systems.
- Educate clients on proper pool care and equipment operation.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and chemicals used.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service and build lasting client relationships.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in swimming pool maintenance and repair.
- Strong understanding of pool water chemistry and balancing techniques.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing common pool equipment issues.
- Ability to perform minor plumbing repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving and observational skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage a route efficiently.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), stoop, bend, and work in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Residential Appliance Contractor (RAC) license.
- Experience with advanced pool automation systems.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to pools.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
