Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and energetic Afternoon Dishwasher to join our vibrant kitchen team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for flexible afternoon shifts and an entry-level position within the hospitality industry. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment, ensuring our culinary team has the necessary equipment to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils efficiently.
- Ensure all washed items are properly air-dried or dried by hand and stored in their designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dishwashing area, including floors, sinks, and machines.
- Assist with basic kitchen prep tasks as needed, such as peeling vegetables or restocking supplies.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.
- Dispose of rubbish and recycling appropriately.
- Report any maintenance issues or broken equipment to the kitchen supervisor.
- Support the culinary team by keeping the kitchen clean and functional during service.
Required Skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality or kitchen environment (even non-dishwasher roles).
