Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Wind Turbine Technician / Engineer to join our growing team. This is a critical role responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wind turbine generators and associated equipment. You will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our wind farm assets, contributing directly to the generation of clean energy. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on wind turbine generators and associated equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on wind turbines.
  • Utilize SCADA systems and other diagnostic tools to monitor turbine performance and identify potential problems.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
  • Complete comprehensive documentation for all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide feedback on turbine performance and suggest improvements.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to turbine failures or emergencies as required.
  • Assist in the commissioning of new wind turbine installations and upgrades.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development.

Required Skills

  • Associate's degree or equivalent technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy technology.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Wind Turbine Technician or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and test equipment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety procedures.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to wind farm sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with specific wind turbine OEM platforms (e.g., GE, Siemens Gamesa, Vestas).
  • GWO (Global Wind Organisation) certifications (First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Working at Heights, Sea Survival).
  • Experience with SCADA systems and data analysis for turbine performance optimization.
  • Prior experience working in an international team environment.
