Job Description
Join our manufacturing team as a Plastic Part Trimmer in our Gaithersburg facility. This is an entry-level opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a steady hand. You will be responsible for meticulously trimming excess material from plastic molded parts using various hand tools to ensure they meet exact quality specifications. This role operates within a fast-paced, factory environment, focusing on precision and consistent output. Full training will be provided to ensure you are proficient and confident in your tasks. We are looking for dedicated individuals who are eager to learn, committed to quality, and thrive in a hands-on production setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully trim flash, gates, and other excess plastic from molded components using appropriate hand tools such as utility knives, clippers, and files.
- Inspect finished parts for defects, ensuring they meet specified quality standards and visual criteria.
- Measure and verify part dimensions against blueprints or work instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring tools are properly stored and equipment is in good working order.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, material inconsistencies, or quality issues to a supervisor.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
