Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Warehouse Architect to join our dynamic data team in Shoreditch, London. This critical role involves designing, developing, and managing our enterprise data warehouse architecture, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and performance. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy, enabling informed decision-making across the organization, and supporting our rapid growth. Relocation assistance will be provided for eligible candidates looking to make the move to London.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain the enterprise data warehouse architecture, including data models, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting structures.
- Define and implement data governance, quality, and security standards within the data warehouse.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools to enhance data warehouse capabilities and performance.
- Optimise existing data warehouse systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams.
- Document architectural designs, data flows, and technical specifications.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of experience in data warehousing, data architecture, or related fields.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing large-scale data warehouses using relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, SQL Server).
- Expertise in data modeling techniques (e.g., dimensional modeling, data vault, 3NF).
- Strong experience with ETL/ELT tools and processes.
- Advanced SQL programming skills.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with real-time data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka).
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.
- Experience in the FinTech industry.
- Certifications in relevant cloud data platforms.
