Job Description
Are you eager to learn the art and science behind professional photography lighting? Vaudreuil-Soulanges Photography Co. is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Photography Studio Lighting Assistant to join our team. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for individuals with little to no prior experience, offering comprehensive on-the-job training. You will work closely with our lead photographers, learning the ins and outs of studio operations, equipment setup, and lighting techniques. If you have a strong work ethic, a keen interest in photography, and are ready to immerse yourself in a creative field, we encourage you to apply. Key Responsibilities
- Assist photographers with the setup, adjustment, and breakdown of lighting equipment (strobes, continuous lights, modifiers).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio space and equipment.
- Prepare sets and props according to shoot requirements.
- Learn and apply basic camera settings and shot composition under guidance.
- Provide general assistance during photoshoots, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Help with basic post-production tasks such as file organization and initial image culling.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report major ones.
- Adhere to studio safety protocols and best practices.
Required Skills

- Basic computer literacy.
- Physical ability to lift and move photography equipment (up to 30 lbs).
