Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team, focusing on complex projects within the construction and technology sectors. This pivotal role involves the full lifecycle management of contracts, from negotiation and drafting to execution and close-out, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of construction law and technology contracts, excellent negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to risk mitigation. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering a wide range of contracts for construction and technology projects.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements, company policies, and relevant industry regulations.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks, working closely with project managers, legal counsel, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to project teams on contractual matters, including claims, disputes, and change orders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and legal advisors.
  • Monitor contract performance, ensuring adherence to terms, conditions, and deadlines.
  • Lead contract negotiations to achieve favorable terms and protect company interests.
  • Prepare comprehensive contract summaries, reports, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of contract management processes and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, specifically within the construction and/or technology industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract law, legal terminology, and contract drafting principles.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Law, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Juris Doctor (JD) is a significant asset.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM).
  • Experience with international contract law and cross-border project agreements.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC, NEC, or other standard construction contract forms.
  • Experience working in a large, multi-national corporation.
