Job Description
Are you looking to kick-start a rewarding career in the insurance industry but have no prior experience? BCAA is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as an Insurance Claims Adjuster (Trainee) in a desk-based role. This is an incredible entry-level opportunity where you will receive comprehensive, full-time training to become a skilled claims professional. You’ll learn the fundamentals of claims adjusting, policy interpretation, and customer service, all within a supportive and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in an extensive training program to develop a strong understanding of insurance principles, claims processes, and BCAA policies.
- Under supervision, assist senior claims adjusters with reviewing and processing insurance claims from start to finish.
- Learn to interpret insurance policy language to determine coverage and liability.
- Communicate professionally with policyholders, providing updates and explaining claims procedures.
- Accurately document all claims information, interactions, and decisions in the claims management system.
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements and internal BCAA standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective claims resolution.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in a related field.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Demonstrated interest in the insurance industry or a desire for a career in claims.
