Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Warehouse Spill Response Cleaner – Janitorial Support to join our team in Wilmington, NC. This critical role ensures the safety and cleanliness of our warehouse facility by responding promptly to spills, maintaining hygienic conditions, and providing essential janitorial services. You will play a vital part in upholding our operational standards and contributing to a safe working environment for all employees. Key Responsibilities
- Respond immediately and effectively to chemical, oil, water, and other spills within the warehouse, following established safety protocols.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and other common areas regularly.
- Empty trash receptacles and manage waste disposal in accordance with company and environmental guidelines.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers safely and efficiently.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying management when reordering is necessary.
- Perform routine floor care, including sweeping, mopping, and occasional waxing.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks as needed, such as changing lightbulbs or reporting larger issues.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, especially those related to hazardous materials handling.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive and productive work environment.
- Complete daily cleaning checklists and submit reports as required.
