Job Description
Are you passionate about video games and eager to break into the tech industry? Comcast Xfinity is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Video Game QA & Playtesting Intern to join our team in Joliet, IL. This entry-level internship is perfect for individuals with no prior professional experience in QA, but a strong interest in gaming and a desire to learn. You will work closely with our development and testing teams, helping to ensure the quality and enjoyment of various interactive experiences within the Comcast ecosystem, which may include new streaming features, interactive content, or early-stage gaming initiatives. Full training will be provided, equipping you with the fundamental skills of quality assurance and game testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and play through interactive experiences to identify bugs, glitches, and areas for improvement.
- Document and report defects clearly and concisely using internal tracking tools.
- Provide constructive feedback on gameplay, user experience, and overall enjoyment.
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand feature requirements and testing scope.
- Assist in the creation of new test cases and scenarios.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- A deep passion for video games and interactive entertainment across various genres and platforms.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with common software applications.

- No prior professional QA experience is required; full training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with different gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
- Basic understanding of software development or testing cycles.
- Experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Asana) is a plus, but not required.
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Game Design, Communications, etc.).
