Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Distance Learning Coordinator to join our team, working remotely to support public education initiatives. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in the successful implementation and ongoing management of distance learning programs. You will collaborate with educators, administrators, and technical staff to ensure a seamless and effective learning experience for students, focusing on the public education sector. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from your home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the development and implementation of distance learning programs for public education institutions.
- Act as a primary point of contact for educators and students regarding distance learning platforms and resources.
- Provide technical and pedagogical support to teachers utilizing online learning tools.
- Manage and update distance learning content, ensuring accessibility and relevance.
- Organize and facilitate professional development workshops for educators on best practices in online teaching.
- Monitor student engagement and program effectiveness, reporting findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT and instructional design teams to troubleshoot issues and enhance platform functionality.
- Ensure compliance with educational standards and accessibility guidelines for all online materials.
Required Skills
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle).
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Understanding of K-12 public education environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a distance learning or online education role.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
- Experience facilitating online professional development.
