Job Description
Montecito Bank & Trust is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Risk Management Data Analyst (Trainee) – Financial Sector. As a Trainee, you will work closely with experienced risk professionals, learning the fundamentals of data analysis, risk identification, and regulatory compliance within the financial sector. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection, organization, and validation of financial data from various sources for risk analysis.
- Support the preparation of accurate and insightful risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Learn and apply basic risk management principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements relevant to the financial industry.
- Contribute to ongoing data integrity and accuracy initiatives to ensure reliable risk assessments.
- Participate actively in all provided training sessions, workshops, and professional development programs.
- Collaborate with team members to understand specific data requirements and project goals.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties and analyses as required to support the Risk Management department.
Required Skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, basic formulas).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and concise reporting.

- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field (or currently pursuing final year).
