Job Description
Join our Honolulu team as a High-End Furniture Delivery & Assembly Specialist, providing white glove service for our discerning customers. This role is crucial in ensuring our premium furniture and home goods are delivered, assembled, and installed with the utmost care and professionalism. You will be the face of Crate & Barrel, delivering not just products, but an exceptional brand experience. This position offers a competitive hourly wage plus the opportunity to earn tips for outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load, transport, and unload high-end furniture and home decor items to customer residences and businesses.
- Perform professional in-home assembly and installation of furniture, ensuring all items are correctly and securely put together.
- Provide 'white glove' service, including careful placement, minor adjustments, and removal of all packaging materials from the customer's home.
- Interact courteously and professionally with customers, addressing any questions or concerns with a solutions-oriented approach.
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections to ensure items are free from damage and complete.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, obtain customer signatures, and handle any necessary paperwork.
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding delivery schedules, delays, and any issues encountered.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy furniture (up to 75 lbs regularly, more with assistance).
- Proficiency with basic hand and power tools for furniture assembly.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid Hawaii driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in furniture delivery, moving, or logistics.
- Experience providing white glove service or luxury customer service.
- Familiarity with various types of furniture assembly and construction.
- Experience driving box trucks or large vans.
