Job Description
Join the Amazon team as a Warehouse Operative in our Ohio City, Cleveland facility! This is an immediate start position with competitive weekly pay and no prior experience required. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be an essential part of our logistics network, contributing to the efficient flow of products from our fulfillment centers to customers. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks related to receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products. We value reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to safety. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming shipments and accurately scan product information
- Pick customer orders using handheld scanners and prepare them for shipment
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate packaging
- Sort and stage products for outbound delivery
- Perform quality checks on products to ensure accuracy and prevent damage
- Operate manual and powered equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) safely after certification
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity goals
Required Skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 49 lbs), and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
- Basic computer navigation skills (for using scanning devices and internal systems)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- No prior experience required – full training provided
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (even if informal)
- Experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts or order pickers
- Familiarity with inventory management systems
