Job Description
Join Legacy Health as a Hospital Food Tray Deliverer and play a vital, active role in our patient care team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking an active, on-site position within a dynamic hospital environment. You will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of nutritious meals to patients across various wards, directly contributing to their comfort and recovery. Full training will be provided to ensure you are confident and capable in all aspects of this essential role. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately deliver meal trays to patients in designated wards, ensuring timely service.
- Verify patient identification and confirm dietary restrictions against meal orders.
- Assist patients with opening food items or setting up trays as needed, providing courteous service.
- Collect soiled meal trays from patient rooms after meals, adhering to sanitation protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within food service areas and delivery equipment.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient feedback or special requests related to meals.
- Adhere strictly to all hospital policies, food safety regulations, and sanitation guidelines.
- Operate and maintain food delivery carts and equipment safely and efficiently.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand basic dietary instructions and patient information.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact courteously with patients and staff.
- Physical stamina to walk, stand, push and pull heavy carts for extended periods throughout shifts.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

- Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation principles.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
