Job Description
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Athletic Equipment Repair Technician. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone with a passion for sports and a mechanical aptitude, but no prior experience in equipment repair. We provide comprehensive, hands-on training to equip you with the skills needed to maintain and repair a wide range of athletic gear. You will work in a dynamic workshop environment, contributing to the longevity and safety of our customers’ equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Undergo comprehensive training on the inspection, maintenance, and repair of various athletic equipment (e.g., bikes, fitness machines, skis, snowboards, baseball gloves, hockey gear).
- Learn to diagnose issues and perform basic repairs, adjustments, and replacements of parts.
- Follow established safety protocols and operational procedures in the workshop.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory management of parts and tools.
- Communicate effectively with senior technicians and team members.
- Ensure high standards of quality and customer satisfaction are met after training completion.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn new skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented workshop environment.
- Basic computer literacy for logging work orders and tracking parts.
- Willingness to commit to a structured training program.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
