Job Description
Join Lane Transit District as a Subway / Metro Station Attendant, a critical customer-facing role within our expanding transit operations. While our current system primarily features bus and bus rapid transit, this position anticipates the evolving needs of urban public transit infrastructure, focusing on ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all passengers at our major transit hubs. Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting passengers with inquiries, directions, and fare information.
- Monitor transit station areas for cleanliness, safety, and security, reporting any issues promptly.
- Assist passengers with disabilities, ensuring accessibility and ease of use of transit facilities.
- Operate station equipment such as public address systems, emergency call boxes, and fare vending machines.
- Handle minor disturbances or issues, escalating to security or management when necessary.
- Conduct routine inspections of station premises, identifying and reporting maintenance needs.
- Assist with emergency procedures and passenger evacuation drills as required.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities and incidents.
- Collaborate with transit operations staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
