Job Description

Purolator Inc. is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as an Electric Vehicle (EV) Fleet Mechanic Trainee. This entry-level position is perfect for someone with a mechanical aptitude who wants to learn the cutting-edge technology of electric vehicle maintenance and repair. No prior EV experience is required; we provide comprehensive training from the ground up. You will learn alongside experienced technicians, gaining hands-on experience with our growing fleet of electric delivery vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Participate in comprehensive training programs to learn EV system diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures.
- Assist certified technicians with routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electric vehicle components.
- Learn to perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on EV systems, including batteries, motors, and charging infrastructure.
- Shadow experienced mechanics during complex repairs and system overhauls.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Document all learned procedures and tasks accurately.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Continuously seek opportunities for skill development and knowledge enhancement in EV technology.
Required Skills
- Eagerness and strong desire to learn new technologies.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Valid G Class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
