Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Government Epidemic Response Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a high-demand position crucial for supporting our ongoing public health initiatives and emergency response efforts within Champaign County. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative, logistical, and community outreach support, playing a vital role in data management, resource coordination, and public communication during health emergencies and ongoing public health programs. You will work closely with public health specialists, epidemiologists, and community partners to ensure effective and timely responses to protect community health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the collection, entry, and management of public health data related to disease surveillance and outbreak investigations.
  • Provide administrative support to the epidemic response team, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and preparing reports.
  • Support community outreach and education initiatives, disseminating crucial health information to residents.
  • Help coordinate resources and supplies necessary for public health interventions.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive patient and public health information.
  • Assist with logistical arrangements for testing sites, vaccination clinics, or other public health events.
  • Respond to public inquiries, providing accurate and timely information or directing individuals to appropriate resources.

  • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish, French, or other languages prevalent in the community).
