Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor battery recycling equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Sort, weigh, and prepare various types of batteries for processing according to established procedures.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental guidelines.
- Conduct quality checks on processed materials to ensure compliance with standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Assist with routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment under supervision.
- Complete accurate records and logs of materials processed and daily activities.
Required Skills
- Strong commitment to safety and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for operating equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment.
- Forklift operator certification is an asset (training can be provided).
- Familiarity with environmental regulations or waste management practices.
