No experience is necessary – we offer comprehensive, hands-on training, including all required safety certifications, to equip you with the skills needed to succeed. You will play a crucial role in assisting skilled trades, maintaining a clean and organized job site, handling materials, and learning valuable construction techniques. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespersons (e.g., carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks on active construction sites.
- Perform general site clean-up and organization, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- Handle, move, load, and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment safely.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision, following comprehensive training.
- Dig trenches, shovel earth, and prepare surfaces for construction work.
- Erect and dismantle temporary structures, scaffolding, and barricades as instructed.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and site regulations.
- Actively participate in and complete all mandatory safety training sessions and drills.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other site personnel.
- Assist with other general labor tasks as required to support project progress.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn, take instruction, and follow directions precisely.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong commitment to working safely and adhering to all safety protocols.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.
- No prior construction experience is required; full training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic understanding of measurements or experience with general hand tools (training will be provided for all necessary skills and tool operation).
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments typical of construction sites.
