Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and charismatic Host / Retailer to join our boutique cigar lounge team for evening shifts. This role is perfect for an individual with a passion for providing outstanding customer service, an interest in premium cigars, and a desire to contribute to an exclusive, sophisticated atmosphere. As a key front-of-house team member, you will be responsible for warmly greeting guests, guiding them through our curated selection of cigars and accessories, processing sales, and ensuring the lounge maintains its pristine environment. Full training on our products and point-of-sale system will be provided, allowing you to develop expertise in a luxury retail setting. This is an on-site position located in the heart of Milwaukee.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all guests to the lounge, managing seating and reservations as needed.
- Assist guests with product selection, offering informed recommendations on cigars, accessories, and pairings.
- Process retail sales accurately using our point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash and credit transactions.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lounge, retail display areas, and humidor.
- Monitor and replenish retail inventory, ensuring all products are well-stocked and attractively displayed.
- Educate guests on cigar etiquette and product knowledge in a professional and engaging manner.
- Verify customer age for tobacco and alcohol purchases as per state and federal regulations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash reconciliation and securing the premises.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and a service-oriented approach.

- Reliability and punctuality, particularly for evening shifts.

- Basic computer proficiency for POS system operation.
- Must be at least 21 years of age due to product handling.

- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or a customer-facing role (6 months preferred).
- An interest in or willingness to learn about premium cigars and related products.
- Experience with inventory management and cash handling.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, high-end environment.
