Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Room (ER) Nurse to join our dynamic team in Glasgow. This is an exceptional opportunity for qualified nurses looking to relocate to the UK, as the position comes with full LMIA approval and visa sponsorship. As an ER Nurse, you will be at the forefront of patient care, providing immediate medical attention to individuals facing a wide range of medical emergencies. Your role will involve rapid assessment, critical intervention, and collaborative work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid and accurate assessments of patients presenting with various medical and traumatic emergencies.
- Implement and evaluate nursing care plans, ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Operate and interpret results from medical equipment, including monitors, defibrillators, and ventilators.
- Collaborate effectively with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families during stressful situations.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or eligibility to register.
- Minimum of 2 years of post-registration experience in an Emergency Department/A&E setting.
- Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care effectively in an emergency context.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in basic and advanced life support techniques (e.g., ALS, ATLS, PALS, EPALS).
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Specialist qualifications in Emergency Nursing or related fields.
- Experience with electronic patient record systems (e.g., TrakCare).
- Experience working within a diverse cultural patient population.
