Job Description

Join Manheim St. Louis as an Auto Auction Lot Driver and play a crucial role in our daily operations. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of various vehicles across our auction lot, preparing them for sale, transport, or service. This fast-paced position requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely drive and park a variety of vehicles (cars, trucks, SUVs) on the auction lot, in designated areas.
  • Perform basic safety checks on vehicles before moving them, including checking for visible damage or low fuel.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as traffic laws.
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work environment on the lot.
  • Report any vehicle damage or mechanical issues observed during movement.
  • Assist with other lot duties as directed by supervisors.
  • Operate vehicles in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

Required Skills

  • Valid state-issued Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 6 months of professional driving experience (e.g., delivery, shuttle, lot attendant).
  • Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently.
  • Commitment to safety and a strong work ethic.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in an auto auction, dealership, or vehicle logistics environment.
  • Familiarity with various vehicle makes and models.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
